PaySpotPrivacy notice

Effective 10 August 2026

How PaySpot handles information

This notice describes information processed through PaySpot’s hotspot storefronts, operator dashboard, captive portals, payments, vouchers, and network integrations. A venue may also provide its own privacy information for its local network.

Information we process

  • Operator account, venue, location, support, and configuration details.
  • Customer contact details supplied during checkout or account access.
  • Payment references, amount, status, channel, and provider response data; PaySpot does not store full card numbers.
  • Plan, voucher, entitlement, device count, network identifier, session time, and aggregate usage records needed to provide access.
  • Security, authentication, browser, cookie, error, and audit information used to protect and operate the service.

Why we use it

  • To authenticate operators and Wi-Fi customers, process purchases, issue access, and show balances or receipts.
  • To connect supported Omada, MikroTik, RADIUS, email, SMS, and payment services requested by an operator.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot failures, secure accounts, maintain records, and improve reliability.
  • To send operational notices and optional summaries according to the operator’s settings.

Sharing and service providers

  • Information is shared only as needed with the venue operator and configured providers such as payment, email, SMS, hosting, controller, and network services.
  • PaySpot does not sell personal information or use Wi-Fi session records for unrelated advertising.
  • Information may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect users, the service, or others.

Retention, security, and choices

  • Records are retained for the period needed to deliver access, handle support and disputes, maintain security, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
  • PaySpot uses access controls, encryption for supported stored credentials, and scoped tenant/location separation, but no online service can promise absolute security.
  • Operators can change notification and device-app preferences in Settings. Customers can contact their venue about a purchase or local network record.
  • Requests to access, correct, or delete applicable information may be submitted through the operator or PaySpot support channel used for the service.
